Purpose of Apple Sanity, Sunshine EcstasyTM

interests of the Apple
Sanity Collective and the Apple Sanity, Sunshine Ecstasy organization. We have since ventured into
web development solutions for our clients.

and depravity of humanity, as well as the research and development of webpage design, usability,
and search engine optimization.
Company Motto
“Towards a Lovelier, Brighter, Sexier Future”

Informative, formalized, well-researched, and properly-cited articles across varied topics and issues
Satirical, informal articles and postings as commentary and/or entertainment accross varied topics and issues
The second field consists of web development solutions across multiple, customizable levels for our clients:

Source code standardization to insure optimal user experience across all internet browsers/ user
agents
Website page and content design and implementation
Search engine optimization (SEO) services to increase visibility on all major results pages (SERP's)
Formulation of Strategy
We, the Apple Sanity Collective, are fully cognizant of the fact that the industry of both article-based
websites and web development are very large and established firmly, while www.applesanity.com is presently,
for all purposes, another new entrant among many other new entrants.
Hence or otherwise, we must differientiate ourselves via uniqueness as we position our organization
for competitive advantages. Second, our organization must accept the trade-offs that accompany
the price of specialization. Third, we must create value for both our stakeholders and customers,
in order to achieve long-term, sustainable, and superior performance. Fourth, our strategies
must maintain a high degree of flexibility that can adapt to the fast-past, constantly changing
nature of our industry.
Strategy
By integrating our “Core Competencies” into our strategical
formulations, we are confident in our solutions to what we want and how we shall accomplish
our goals.
Contrary to popular belief, the most successful websites are not those that rely upon Flash
or Java dependent pages. Instead, we contend that the most important factors are users' experience,
purposeful content, adaptability, and visibility.
Therefore, our first strategical objective will be enhancing usability. Not all users navigate
the internet the same way, and not all browsers render pages uniformly. By focusing on interface
and usability, we accept the tradeoff of creating websites that, at the expense of hyped aesthetics,
shall meet our benchmarks for usability:
Intuitive menus for navigation
An integrated, internal seach engine
Proper layouts for optimal readability
Preventive measures safeguarding against malicious and accidental usage.
Our second objective is to ensure purposeful content. Far too many websites today only confuse
their audiences. To facilitate the accessibility of content-driven pages, we have developed
several benchmarks, which must all be met:
Clear and precise declaration of intentions
Formatting that promotes scannability
Easy referencing to critical information
Layouts that function equally well without styling.
Our third objective shall rest primarily with accessibility and standardization,
as defined by guidelines from
the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), a body of professionals dedicated to improving the internet.By keeping
up with the most stringent of proposals, the websites that we develop will never be outdated.
The benchmarks will be:
Meeting the latest in W3C protocols for XHTML 1.1 and CSS 3
Ensuring access for all types of users, using WCAG and ATAG recommendations.
Our final objective is for the promotion of the websites that we create. Research shows that
over 77% of all references to most websites come from 'organic' results, or hits from seach
engine result pages (SERP's). Consequently, search engine opitimization
(SEO) is a must. We
have developed various methodologies over the years to boost any given page's ratings for any
target keyword, across all major and subsidiary public search engines.
Tactics
The Apple Sanity Collective strives continuously towards the development and application
of tools and resources to do things better than our competitors. Given that our operations
(as of current) are smaller than major competitors, we have to choose resources that can meet
the constrictions of limited capital. Consequently, we shall draw our resources primarily from
open-source, GNU, and Unix-based options, as well as third-party services, where applicable.
Apple Sanity, Sunshine Ecstasy uses the latest in software and web capabilities, with considerations
to standards compliance and quality assurance.

Organization and Structure
Currently, Apple Sanity, Sunshine Ecstasy is in its fourth version. While
prior conceptualizations featured CPU-intensive javascripts and .gif animations, the current realization
has reached a level of maturity such that its content and substance now the main foci instead of flashiness.
As such, the presentation of this domain has been enhanced for usability.
Hence, Apple Sanity, Sunshine Ecstasy also serves as an exercise into web development. The domain
is growing continuously, with newer pages made with more complex code.
We, the Apple SanityTM
Collective, have become avid supporters of code standardization for the
internet. For too long, users' internet experience has been suffering from two dimensions:
careless website designs, and arbitrary code development, implementation, and recognition
from user agents or internet browsers.
Consequently, each browser service has a unique interpretation on how to render webpages; one site
may appear drastically different from one browser to the next. Furthermore, the complications involved
in ‘guessing’ the correct rendering for websites with no standardization has left most browsers full
of bugs. These problems hurt the flow and functionality of the internet.

Philosophy of Apple Sanity
Apple Sanity (Ăp’əl Sǎn’ǐ-tē) is the name of an alternative
interpretation to the Abrahamic story of “The Fall” of Adam and Eve. Contrary to the traditional
Christian doctrine that The Fall represents the loss of God's divine grace (thereby creating the necessity
for all to find salvation), the philosophy of Apple Sanity claims that humankind should embrace
its fate of inheriting pain, suffering, and mortality, as part of the worldly knowledge gained from
eating fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. That is, the expulsion from the Garden of Eden should be
viewed as a gift instead of a curse.
The traditional interpretation of The Fall holds that this event marks the origin of original
sin. This sin is different than personal sin because the former is the sin of humankind, and
is thus, inherited. While Adam and Eve were born into paradise and blessed with immortality, the
condition of being born with original sin is that all of Adam's progeny must endure the pain and
suffering associated with mortality, as instructed in Genesis 2:
16) And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “You may freely eat of every
tree of the garden; 17) but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in
the day that you eat of it you shall die.”
Romans 5:12 provides elaboration:
Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death came through
sin, and so death spread to all because all have sinned-
In Epistle to the Romans, the fifth chapter explains that humankind's original state of living in
paradise and supernatural grace was a "free gift" that God bestowed upon Adam. However, in verses
15-17, St. Paul writes:
15) But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's
trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift in the grace of that one man Jesus Christ
abounded for many. 16) And the free gift is not like the effect of that one man's sin. For the judgment
following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brings justification.
17) If, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who
receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man
Jesus Christ.
Here, St. Paul has not only explained original sin, but has offered a solution as well: the only
possible route back into paradise is the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
The “Apple Sanity” viewpoint is essentially a rejection of the conclusions drawn by
St. Paul in regards to The Fall. In contrast, it takes the Felix Culpa interpretation to
its logical extreme. While Felix Culpa holds that The Fall is a gift in disguise because it allows
for humans to have the free will of choosing between good and evil (thereby making salvation more
meaningful), Apple Sanity sees The Fall as purely a gift, undisguised, and without the traditional
necessity for salvatation. This viewpoint even surpasses the interpretation written by Phillip Pullman
in His Dark Materials, which states that bliss is not worthwhile if innocence comes with
ignorance.
The conclusion of Apple Sanity is a total embracement of the human condition. The difference lies
in the fact that both the Christian and Felix Culpa interpretations perceive mortality as a curse.
However, the Apple Sanity perspective stipulates that mortality is actually a gift, and the defining
element of humanity. Taking inspiration from a Wallace Stevens poem, “Sunday Morning,” the
argument is that with mortality comes the ability to understand finality: life and death, beginnings
and ends, and bliss and suffering. An excerpt from Sonnet V argues:
Death is the mother of beauty; hence from her,
Alone, shall come fulfilment to our dreams
And our desires.
Additionally, Sonnet VI questions whether immortality in paradise is truly a paradise at all:
Is there no change of death in paradise?
Does ripe fruit never fall? Or do the boughs
Hang always heavy in that perfect sky,
Unchanging, yet so like our perishing earth,
With rivers like our own that seek for seas
They never find, the same receding shores
That never touch with inarticulate pang?
Instead of dreading or fearing death and mortality (or seeking salvation as away to live on in an
afterlife), the conclusion drawn is that death is an essential, defining aspect of life that all must
accept. If one were to go in the direction of St. Paul and traditional teachings, one would actually
be denying a mortal death for an immortal paradise. Seeking salvation with the intent of rejecting
mortality, therefore, becomes a contradiction of Apple Sanity principles.
